Privacy
This page explains what personal data this site collects, why, and how it's handled. This is a small side project, not a company — if anything here is unclear or you have concerns, get in touch through the About page.
What I collect
- If you use the contact form: your name (optional), email address, and message
- If you submit a story on an activity page: your status ("did it" / "want to try"), an optional name, and an optional written story
- Aggregate, non-personal website analytics (pages visited, general location by country, referring site) — this data isn't linked to you individually and can't identify you
Why I collect it
- Contact form data is used only to read and reply to your message
- Story submissions are shown publicly on the relevant activity page, since sharing what you've done is the whole point of that feature — don't submit anything in the story text you wouldn't want public
- Analytics helps me understand which parts of the site are useful and which aren't
Who processes it
This site is built on a few external services, each of which processes data on my behalf:
- Formspree (contact form submissions) — data is retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted
- Google Firebase (story submissions) — stored until I remove it
- Cloudflare (site analytics) — cookieless, aggregate only
- GitHub Pages (site hosting)
How long I keep it
Contact form messages are automatically deleted after 30 days by Formspree. Story submissions remain visible until removed — I periodically review these and will remove anything inappropriate, and will remove your submission on request.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, at any time, by getting in touch through the About page.
Cookies
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. The analytics tool in use (Cloudflare) is cookieless by design.
